Christian Mikolajczak (born May 15, 1981 in Essen ; nicknames: Micky , Miko ) is a German football player . Mikolajczak is a midfielder and left footer, which is why he usually acts on the left side of the field.
Career
youth
Christian Mikolajczak grew up in Essen . His first teams in the youth were the local clubs Wacker Steele and FC Kray , before he switched to the youth team of FC Schalke 04 in 1992 . He was also active in the German U-18 national team, with which he took part in the U-18 European Championship in Ireland in 2000.
professional
For the 2000/01 season he moved up to the first team of FC Schalke 04, for which he played 13 league games in his first year as a professional, was German runner-up and won the DFB Cup. After the end of the season he was loaned to the then second division Hannover 96 .
For Hanover, Mikolajczak played 17 second division games in the following 2001/02 season and scored his first league goal in the professional area. He did not get beyond the role of a reservist. After he was no longer loaned to Hanover after the end of the season, he dissolved his contract with FC Schalke 04, since he saw no prospects for himself there, and moved to LR Ahlen on a free transfer . He played the next three seasons with today's Rot Weiss Ahlen.
He was used at Ahlen 74 times in the 2nd Bundesliga. He scored six goals, including in the last game of the 2004/05 season at TSV 1860 Munich the last goal of the 4-3 victory that saved Ahlen from relegation.
In 2005 he moved to the league competitor FC Erzgebirge Aue , where he played the 2005/06 season and was used 16 times. After the end of the season, he agreed with FC Erzgebirge to terminate his contract, which was dated July 30, 2007, and signed a short time later with the Holstein Kiel regional league club .
In 2007, Mikolajczak moved to FSV Frankfurt . There he signed a two-year contract.
For the 2009/10 season he returned to Rot Weiss Ahlen . However, he was sorted out again during the winter break and then moved to Dynamo Dresden , where his contract was not extended. After Mikolajczak was without a club for some time, he signed a one-year contract with the Elversberg sports association in September 2010 .
After his contract in Elversberg expired, he was without a club for six months and signed a contract with SSVg Velbert in January 2012 . On January 6, 2013 he left Velbert and signed a contract with SV Hönnepel-Niedermörmter .
In the summer of 2015, Mikolajczak moved to the Mülheim regional division VfB Speldorf . Since he lives in Duisburg and works as a fire fighter in Oberhausen, he now has to travel shorter distances. In 2016 he took over as a coach there.
He led VfB Speldorf to promotion to the Oberliga Niederrhein in the 2016/17 season . After relegation in the first year and internal quarrels in the following season, he left the club in the winter break of 2018/19 and became head coach at league rivals FSV Duisburg . After the established Oberliga descent of Duisburg, Mikolajczak was released before the end of the season.
