Christian Mucha

Christian Mucha (* 1945 ) is a German sports doctor and university lecturer .

Life

From 1981 Mucha was professor for physical and rehabilitative medicine at the Hannover Medical School and then at the Göttingen University Hospital .

From 1989 to 2010 he worked at the German Sport University Cologne (DSHS), he was a professor at the Institute for Movement Therapy and Movement-Oriented Prevention and Rehabilitation. He retired on February 28, 2010.

Mucha's main research areas included exercise therapy underwater, for rheumatoid arthritis, rehabilitation measures for herniated discs, arthrosis and knee injuries, apparatus-assistive training for people with multiple sclerosis, physiotherapy exercise therapy for degenerative lumbar spine syndromes, and the psychological effects of sport and exercise therapy.
