Christian Nusser

Christian Nusser (born November 20, 1963 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) is an Austrian journalist. Since August 2012 he has been editor-in-chief of the Austrian free daily newspaper heute and author of a satirical political blog - Kopfnussen.

Life

Born the son of a teacher, he grew up in Klagenfurt. He studied political science and journalism and obtained his doctorate in 1989 at the University of Vienna with an "empirical study on the work situation of chronicle journalists in Austrian daily newspapers". Journalist since 1984. Initially working as a music and courtroom reporter, he has been editor-in-chief for various Austrian media for more than two decades, especially for Wolfgang Fellner , for whom he edited the daily tabloid Austria from 2007 to 2012 . Since 2012 he has been the editor in charge of the sister paper of the Kronen Zeitung , Today , which is distributed free of charge .

As a co-author, he has written books with Arabella Kiesbauer , Waris Dirie and others.

He is married and has three sons.
