Fighter V is a Swiss band from Hergiswil . They play melodic hard rock in the style of the 1980s ( melodic rock or stadium rock ), which is characterized by powerful riffs .

Band history

Dave Niederberger (vocals), Marco Troxler (guitar), Luca Troxler (bass) and Lucien Egloff (drums) founded the band Haïrdrÿer in 2009 . In 2010 the EP Smokin 'Nights was released . In 2013 the musicians recorded their first album in the Soundfarm Studios in Kriens Obernau, which was released on April 11, 2014 under the name Off to Haïradise . Felix Commerell (synthesizer / keyboard) joined the band in early 2018.

After the band existed for 10 years, in February 2019 they worked with producer Jona Tee, keyboardist of the Swedish melodic rock band HEaT , in Sweden near the city of Västerås in the Rocksta Sound Ranch and in the Yardstreet Studio in Solna for around four weeks second album recorded. The mixing of the twelve songs on the album was done by Tobias Lindell and the mastering was done by The Panic Room . Through the signing of Felix Commerell and studio recordings in Sweden got the band new life and her project has given a new name to reflect: In June 2019, the band founded new as Fighter V . Her debut album Fighter was released under the new name on October 11, 2019 under the label Rock Attack Records with worldwide distribution by Cargo Records . The album received good reviews and was named Best Debut Album of 2019 by The New Wave Of Hair Metal . The release was followed by a tour through Central Europe from October 2019 to May 2020, including in the opening act for The New Roses and Kissin 'Dynamite .

Among the single releases City Of Sinners , Dangerous and Fighter were music videos produced.

On January 22nd, 2020 the band released a special version of their album Fighter for the Japanese market on the Marquee / Avalon label . The Japanese release contains an exclusive acoustic version of their song Dangerous as a bonus track . Unlike the rest of the songs, this one was recorded in the Soundfarm Studio in Switzerland. The cover design was supplemented with an « obi », a Japanese belt.

Since their album release, Fighter V has played various headline shows in Central Europe and support shows for bands such as The New Roses and Kissin 'Dynamite . As Haïrdrÿer , the formation has already appeared as the opening act for various rock bands, including The Dead Daisies , Fozzy and Bonfire .
