The New Roses (also spelled THE NEW ROSES ) is a German rock band from Wiesbaden .

The now four-piece band was founded in 2007 by singer / guitarist Timmy Rough and drummer Urban Berz in Wiesbaden and in 2012 renamed “The New Roses”. The band was completed in 2008 by bassist Stefan Kassner and in 2012 by guitarist Dizzy Presley and has already played concerts in support of ZZ Top , Black Stone Cherry , Joe Bonamassa , Die Toten Hosen , Blackfoot and Roger Chapman . In 2010 they accompanied the US band Molly Hatchet in the opening act on their “Justice World Tour” through Germany and Switzerland. With the EP of the same name , The New Roses released their first record on December 21, 2012 via their own label (distribution: Soulfood ). In addition to three original compositions there is u. a. the cover version of the Tom Petty song Refugee . In 2013, the same label released the first album entitled Without a Trace , the title track and first single release of which can also be heard as a bonus track on the German soundtrack of the US television series Sons of Anarchy ( Kabel Eins ). In May 2014 Stefan Kassner and Dizzy Presley left the band. Shortly afterwards, the line-up was completed again with Norman Bites (guitar) and Hardy (bass). From 2012 to 2014 The New Roses played over 150 shows in Germany, Switzerland and Spain . On February 14, 2015, The New Roses signed an international recording deal with Napalm Records .

On June 6, 2015, The New Roses played during their current tour at the invitation of UEFA at the fan festival for the 2015 Champions League final in Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate . In autumn / winter 2015 the band played several shows with Accept and supported Molly Hatchet again on their tour through Germany on December 12, 2015. The album Dead Man's Voice was released on February 26, 2016 and brought the band their first chart placement. The album entered the German album charts at number 36. On the day the album was released, the “ Dead Man's Voice Tour” started in the sold-out slaughterhouse in Wiesbaden. In the summer of 2016, she performed at festivals across Europe such as Summer Breeze , Rockharz Open Air , Love Ride Festival Switzerland, as well as Show Bike Aquitaine, Raismes Fest and Plougarock Festival in France . There were also some club shows as the opening act for the American-Australian band The Dead Daisies , and The New Roses opened for Y&T from the USA .

In October 2016, The New Roses toured Germany with their label colleagues from Serum 114 and in December 2016 they appeared in the opening act for Saxon . In February 2017, The New Roses played three shows in England for the first time . In April 2017 The New Roses toured for two weeks in Spain and then in France. In June they played other shows in support of The Dead Daisies in Germany, France and Switzerland as well as at Hellfest . In August 2017, The New Roses released their third album One More for the Road , which reached number 20 on the German album charts and number 52 on the Swiss album charts. The album was produced again by Markus Teske in the Bazement Studio in Strinz-Trinitatis. In September 2017, The New Roses played two shows in Mazar-e Sharif , Afghanistan for the multinational forces of Operation Resolute Support . This was followed by the "One More for the Road" tour, which took The New Roses through several European countries, including playing in November 2017 at the Hard Rock Hell Festival in Wales with Airbourne and Y&T.

On March 17, 2018, a full concert of The New Roses was recorded for television by Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln (WDR). The band played as part of the Crossroads Festival 2018 in the Bonner Harmonie for the WDR format Rockpalast . The concert was broadcast on May 14, 2018 on 3sat and on June 4, 2018 on WDR.

On August 2, 2019, the album Nothing but Wild was released . It entered the German album charts at number 10.
