The Harmonie is a music club with an attached restaurant and bar on the culture mile in Bonn - Endenich .
The restaurant is located in a historic building on Frongasse that is over a hundred years old. Initially, the Bonn café was established there from 1899 . In 1920 the business was renamed in Harmonie and converted into an inn with a dance hall. After it had been run by the same family as a traditional restaurant for over 70 years, an operating collective of three people took over the old restaurant in 1994 and renovated it from the ground up. Using modern stage technology, the L-shaped concert hall with stage and bar was built without damaging the historical fabric of the building or destroying the ambience of the building with the restaurant and courtyard in front. The hall with a rear gallery is sufficient for a maximum of 460 spectators and enables close contact between the artists and their audience. An adjoining part of the building that is not accessible to the public now serves as an administration building and artists' cloakroom. During the summer months there is a beer garden with around 450 seats.
Musicians, groups, cabaret artists and cabaret artists appear in harmony. Artists who have performed there in recent years include Roger Chapman , The Pretty Things, Canned Heat, Peter Green (Splinter Group), Eric Burdon, Fish , Chris Norman , Peter Horton , Pe Werner , Ingo Insterburg , Guildo Horn , Götz Widmann , Martin "Kleinti" Simon , Maximilian Osterritter , Christoph Schunck , Gerd J. Pohl , Anke Engelke , Hannes Wader , Inga Rumpf and Brian Auger .
Since December 2003, TV recordings of the Crossroads Festival have been held twice a year in the hall as part of the WDR Rockpalast ; it also serves as the venue for the Bonn Beethoven Festival . Concerts are recorded for the radio at irregular intervals and broadcast by WDR and DLF .
The Nachtfieber series offers up-and-coming artists a larger forum once a month to present their programs.
In addition to this program, the Harmonie stands several times a year for its motto parties “70s party” and “68s party”. At carnival, harmony after the carnival procession with an "after-zoch party" is a stronghold of the Endeich Carnival.
