Christoph Schunck

Christoph Schunck (born July 28, 1964 - † August 17, 2001 ) was a German author and cabaret artist .

Schunck was born the fourth of five children. He was the son of Irene Theresia Schunck (née Albacht) and Ferdi Schunck . With his wife Kerstin he had a daughter named Marlene.

Schunck was best known as Maximilian Osterritter's stage partner , but also appeared as a solo cabaret artist, including with the chief doctor program on the bus . Together with Osterritter he initiated the Bonn cabaret series Nachtfieber in the cabaret Harmonie , which is still one of the most successful springboards for young cabaret artists in Germany. After Osterritter's death in 1999, Schunck's stage engagements decreased dramatically. Thanks to his contacts to the comedy scene, he was quickly able to establish himself as an author for various TV formats and other cabaret artists.

On August 17, 2001, Schunck died of complications from a brain tumor. At his burial on August 22nd in the Bonn-Endenich cemetery , numerous celebrities from the world of cabaret were present. B. Marius Jung , Jess Jochimsen or Bastian Pastewka ; the puppeteer Gerd J. Pohl recited a poem, Markus Maria Profitlich rendered the deceased one last honor as pallbearer.
