HEAT is a Founded in 2007, hard rock - band from Upplands Väsby , Sweden .

history

The band was founded in 2007 from the previous bands "Dream" and "Trading Fate". In April 2008 they released their eponymous debut album HEaT on StormVox and received many good reviews for it in Sweden and placed 36 in the Swedish charts in the first week. In August 2007 they toured Sweden as the opening act for Toto . This was followed in 2008 by appearances at the Sweden Rock Festival , Rock Weekend in Kallmerode and another tour through Sweden as the opening act for Alice Cooper . In November 2008, the band from the Swedish radio station P4 Dist. awarded the prize for the “best newcomer”, which was chosen by the listeners.

At the beginning of 2009 HEaT were on a European tour with Edguy as support act together with All Ends and André Matos and had an appearance at the Melodifestivalen , which was the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . On June 15, 2010, the band announced the separation from lead singer Kenny Leckremo in a press release. After the departure of the Finn Leckremo, the Swedish Idol winner Erik Grönwall is the new lead singer.
