Christian Ressler (born July 13, 1991 ) is an Austrian soccer player .

Athletic career

Ressler began his career in 1997 at USV Scheiblingkirchen-Warth in Lower Austria . In 2008/09 he was champion of the regional league in Lower Austria and rose with the Scheiblingkirchener in the fifth highest division of the 2nd regional league east. He then stayed in the 2nd regional league east for four years and, after performing well, switched to the amateurs of the Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg in 2012 .

There he made his debut in the Regionalliga Ost (third highest division) on August 3, 2012 against the Wiener Sportklub . He played through and promptly scored a brace in a 4-3 win for his new club. After he scored a goal in almost every game of the amateurs, he was brought into the first team by trainer Franz Lederer . Ressler made his debut in the top Austrian division on September 29, 2012 against SC Wiener Neustadt . The striker was substituted on for Macedonian Ilco Naumoski in the 76th minute . The game in Wiener Neustadt ended goalless 0-0.
