Christian Schubel

Christian Schubel (* 1961 in Greifswald ) is a German lawyer and professor at the Andrássy University in Budapest .

Life

After completing a technical training in Halle (Saale) , Schubel studied law at the University of Jena from 1982 . He completed his studies in 1986. In 1990 he received his doctorate in Jena. iur. From 1992 Schubel worked as a research assistant to Peter Hommelhoff at the University of Heidelberg . There he completed his habilitation in 2001 and received the venia legendi for the subjects of civil law, commercial and corporate law and modern history of private law.

After a substitute chair at the University of Heidelberg, Schubel has held the chair for civil and commercial law at the Andrássy University in Budapest since October 2002 , where he has also been a member of the Senate. From 2006 to 2009 Schubel was the prorector of Andrássy University and its acting rector in 2007/08. His research focuses in particular on European and comparative company law as well as the history of commercial private law.
