Christian Vonhausen

Johann Christian Vonhausen (born October 26, 1806 in Weilmünster ; † May 25, 1876 in Wiesbaden ) was a Nassau civil servant and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Duchy of Nassau .

Christian Vonhausen was the son of the church builder Georg Christian Vonhausen (born June 1, 1778 in Weilmünster; † July 17, 1840 ibid) and his wife Katharina Margaretha nee Nickel (born May 3, 1781 in Weilmünster, † July 17, 1840 ibid), whom he married on April 25, 1799 in Weilmünster.

Christian Vonhausen married Luise nee Winter (born August 6, 1818 in Höchst am Main, † September 28, 1884 in Wiesbaden). Christian Vonhausen was Protestant.

Life

Christian Vonhausen attended grammar school in Weilburg from 1822 to 1826 and then studied law at the Universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg . In 1830 he passed the exam and was then an official advisor in the labor office until 1834 . From 1834 to 1836 he held the same position in the Höchst office , from 1836 to 1838 in the Nassau office and from 1838 to 1839 in the Hadamar office. From 1839 to 1842 he was official secretary in the office of Selters , from 1842 to 1843 in the office of Nastatten , 1843 to 1844 in the office of Rüdesheim , from 1844 to 1847 in the office of Montabaur and from 1847 to 1849 in the office of Usingen . After the March Revolution , the administration and the judiciary were separated. From 1849 to 1851 he was the judicial administrator in the Usingen office and from 1851 to 1852 in the labor office, which at that time were pure courts. In 1852, the liberal reforms were reversed and the offices were restored to their old form (i.e. they were responsible for administration and jurisdiction). Christian Vonhausen became a bailiff in the Wehen office and remained in this position until 1866.

From 1858 to 1863 he belonged to the second chamber of the state estates for constituency XV (Langenschwalbach / Wehen).
