Christian Willeit (born February 22, 1987 in Bruneck , South Tyrol ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Gherdëina in the Alps Hockey League since June 2018 .

Career

Christian Willeit started his career in the youth department of the HC Pustertal . In the 2005/06 season he came to his first appearances in the first team of his home club. In the following years he was continuously active for HC Pustertal and grew into an important defender in the ranks of the team. From 2011 to 2013 he acted as assistant captain of the Val Pusteria. Willeit spent the following two seasons at HC Neumarkt , followed by his return to Bruneck for the 2015/16 season. Then the defender ran again for two seasons for HC Neumarkt. After a brief stint at HC Meran , the South Tyrolean moved to HC Gherdëina for the 2018/19 season .

International

For Italian junior teams , Christian Willeit took part in the U18 World Championship 2005 , the U20 World Championship 2006 and the U20 World Championship 2007 .

• 2006: Bronze medal with the U20 junior team
• 2011 winner of Coppa Italia with HC Pustertal
• 2011 runner-up in the A1 series with HC Pustertal
• 2014 champion of the Inter-National League with HC Neumarkt
