Christian Zott (born February 21, 1960 in Oberammergau ) is a German entrepreneur and art collector. He is the owner and managing director of a consulting firm in the field of supply chain management with headquarters in Munich and was the initiator of the art project “ KAIROS. The right moment “known to the general public.

Life

Christian Zott completed his first degree in industrial engineering in 1986 and a second degree in 2018 as a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. At the age of 27 he founded mSE Solutions GmbH and built the company into a globally operating company with locations in Europe, Asia and North America. In 2011 Christian Zott withdrew from the day-to-day operations of his company and spent seven months hiking across Europe from Cabo de São Vicente to the Bosporus . On this trip he met the Italian photographer Mauro Fiorese , with whom he realized his first art projects after his return. Christian Zott lives today in Munich and Unterammergau. In 2018 he published the illustrated book “Heimat? Ammertal! - A matter of opinion ”published. He has been promoting Byzantine Studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich since 2018 .

Entrepreneurship

MSE Solutions GmbH was founded in 1987 by Christian Zott. The company initially concentrated on the planning and control of production processes. In the course of globalization, Christian Zott focused more on optimizing supply chains. Today mSE Solutions is considered to be an innovator in the field of supply chain management. The German Logistics Prize of the Bundesvereinigung Logistik was awarded twice because of optimizations by mSE Solutions, in 1993 to Siemens and 1999 to Dräger . The first prize of the Swiss Logistics Awards 2002 to Georg Fischer goes back to such a collaboration. In 2017, mSE Solutions entered into a strategic partnership with Kinaxis, one of the world's leading providers of logistics software.

Art projects

In 2014 Christian Zott founded the art platform ZOTT Artspace with locations in Singapore and St. Kassian . The first exhibition projects followed with Konstantin Sotnikov, Beth Moon, Lois Anvidalfarei , and Mauro Fiorese. In cooperation with the Museion (Bozen) , the exhibition “Phantasma” was realized in 2017 with works by Vera Comploj and Cornelia Lochmann. In 2016 Christian Zott initiated the art project “ KAIROS. The Right Moment ”with paintings by Wolfgang Beltracchi and photographs by Mauro Fiorese. The project was scientifically accompanied by the art historian Rainer Metzger and the Byzantinist Sergei Mariev . The exhibition opened on October 4, 2018 in the Biblioteca Marciana in Venice. Further stations were the Barlach Halle K in Hamburg and the Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien. In Unterammergau in October 2019 opened the mSE Kunsthalle, in the collection of Christian Zott to the public is made available.
