Christiane Ludwig-Körner (born March 10, 1944 in Dresden ) is a German psychologist , psychoanalyst , pedagogue, training analyst, supervisor and professor at the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin .

academic career

She studied psychology , philosophy and education in Frankfurt am Main from 1965 to 1968 and in Hamburg from 1968 to 1972 , and graduated in psychology and education. In 1980 she did her doctorate in psychology at the University of Hamburg, followed by a habilitation in 1992 . From 1973 to 1985 she was a research assistant at the University of Lüneburg.

Since 2010 she has been a professor at the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin (IPU). The research focuses on the biography research of psychoanalysts as well as prevention and intervention in the early stage.

Professional background

In 1972 she worked as a psychologist at Crippled Children's Hospital in New Orleans , after which she was a freelance researcher in reproductive medicine at the Endocrinological Institute in Hamburg from 1980 to 1985 . From 1985 to 1987 she was the head psychologist in a neurological rehabilitation clinic in Bad Berleburg .

From 1997 to 2012 she was involved in the development and management of the parent-infant counseling center and the family center at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences , and from 2003 in the development and management of the parent-infant-infant psychotherapy training. From 2005 she initiated the course “Education and Upbringing in Childhood” and directed it until 2009. Another course she founded and directed is the educational master’s course in Psychosocial Intervention at the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin.
