Christine Brodbeck (born July 28, 1950 in Basel ) is a Swiss performance artist and dancer.

life and work

“Christine Brodbeck's choreographies deal with the body as an instrument with infinite possibilities of movement and transformation. The individual dances are created in an improvisational process - the movement patterns remain playful. Christine Brodbeck does not use the usual musical accompaniment for her work, but rather “acoustic events”: tones, sounds, noises, voices. The sound material is taken from nature or corresponds to minimalist sound compositions. "
