Christine Luft

Christine Luft (born September 13, 1949 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Christine Luft attended a polytechnic high school (POS) in East Berlin and became a steno-phono typist in 1968 . In 1976 she became a photo setter and from 1986 a technologist for systems engineering.

In the course of the change in the GDR in 1989, Luft joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in January 1990 . In the first free East Berlin election in May 1990 , she was elected to the Berlin city council. In the joint election in December 1990 , Luft was also able to win the direct mandate in constituency 4 in the Marzahn district as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . She became deputy leader of the SPD parliamentary group and resigned from parliament in 1995.
