Christmas in the Stars
Christmas in the Stars is a music album that was released on LP in November 1980. The album includes nine Christmas tracks presented by R2-D2 and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO . Meco Monardo , who previously worked on the disco album Star Wars And Other Galactic Funk , was the producer of Christmas in the Stars , while most of the newly recorded tracks for the album were written by Maury Yeston . The album was one of the first non-classical / jazz albums to be digitally recorded and mixed. The song What Can You Get a Wookiee for Christmas (When He Already Owns a Comb?) Was released in 1980 under the title The Star Wars Intergalactic Droid Choir ("What do you give a Wookiee if he already has a comb?" and Choralle # 69 on the US singles chart. In addition, Christmas in the Stars contains the first recording of the then 18-year-old Jon Bon Jovi , who is still listed on the album with his real name John Bongiovi. He was then proposed by his cousin Tony Bongiovi as the lead singer Meco was looking for.
A CD release followed in 1994 under the label JFC / Polygram Special Markets. During the marketing offensive for the multimedia project Shadow of the Empire , Rhino Records released another CD of Christmas in the Stars on October 15, 1996.
