Winfried Rosenfelder
Winfried Rosenfelder (born December 31, 1923 in Achern ; † November 5, 2009 ) was a German local politician.
Career
Rosenfelder was mayor from 1963 to 1991 (from 1974: Lord Mayor) of the large district town of Achern . During his term of office, eight surrounding municipalities were incorporated as part of the regional reform. Infrastructural measures during his time as mayor included the development of the market square and the construction of an underground car park, the redevelopment of the city center, the re-routing of the Rhine Valley route and the construction of the inner city bypass of Bundesstraße 3 .
