Christof Weinhardt

Christof Weinhardt (born April 26, 1961 ) is a professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology at the Information Management and Information Management (IISM) and Karlsruhe Service Research Institute (KSRI). In addition, he is director of the Computer Science Research Center in Karlsruhe .

Life

From 1981 to 1986 he studied industrial engineering in Karlsruhe. He then did his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. at the Institute for Economic Theory and Operations Research. From 1989 to 1994 Weinhardt completed his habilitation at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen in business administration and economics under Professor Hans Ulrich Buhl . The topic was financial engineering and information technology: innovative design of financial contracts . After a year at the University of Bielefeld as a professor for quantitative business administration, he was professor for business informatics at the University of Gießen from 1995 to 2000 and then for information business administration at the University of Karlsruhe since 2000. Christof Weinhardt has also been an expert member of the “Internet and Digital Society” commission of inquiry since 2010 and vice dean for research at the Faculty of Economics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology .
