Christofer Fjellner

Gustav Christofer Ingemar Fjellner (born December 13, 1976 in Västerås ) is a Swedish politician of the Moderata samlingspartiet .

Life

Fjellner studied political science and economics at Uppsala and Lund Universities . He worked as a research fellow at a free market think tank and as an information officer for the Swedish Employers' Association . He wrote editorials for Svenska Dagbladet and was a consultant for a PR company. He was also co-founder and vice chairman of a business intelligence company.

From 2002 to 2004 Fjellner was chairman of the Nordisk Ungkonservativ Union and Moderata Ungdomsförbundet , the subdivision for young members of the Moderata samlingspartiet. Since 2000 he has been a member of the party executive committee. From 1998 to 2002 he sat on both the Enköping Municipal Council and the Uppsala Provincial Parliament . He has been a member of the European Parliament since 2004.

As an EU parliamentarian, Fjellner is a member of the Committee on International Trade , the delegation for relations with Belarus and the delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly . He is a deputy in the Committee on Budgetary Control , the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Delegation to the Cariforum-EU Parliamentary Committee and the Delegation for relations with Iran .
