The Christoffersen Heights are a wide and snow-covered mountain range in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . They form the south-central part of the Jones Mountains south of the Bonnabeau Dome and the Anderson Dome .
They were mapped during an expedition to the Jones Mountains undertaken by the University of Minnesota from 1960 to 1961. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1963 after Lieutenant Ernest H. Christoffersen of the United States Navy Reserve Forces , co-pilot of an LC 47 Dakota equipped with ski runners for flights between Byrd Station and the Eights Coast in November 1961.
