The Anderson Dome is a striking, 1475 m high, domed and ice-covered mountain near the coast of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises on the eastern flank of the Gopher Glacier at a distance of 6 km east of the similar looking Bonnabeau Dome in the Jones Mountains .
Participants in a University of Minnesota expedition to the Jones Mountains (1960–1961) mapped it and named the mountain after Joe M. Anderson, a topography engineer for the United States Geological Survey and a participant in the research trip .
