Christoph Brömmelmeyer

Christoph Brömmelmeyer (born June 20, 1969 in Bünde ) is a German legal scholar . He is Professor of Civil Law and European Business Law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and Managing Director of the Frankfurt Institute for European Union Law.

biography

Christoph Brömmelmeyer studied law at the University of Passau from 1989 to 1994 . In 1994 he passed his first state examination in law and became a research assistant at the chair for civil law, commercial, economic and European law with Hans-Peter Schwintowski at the Humboldt University in Berlin . There he obtained his doctorate in 1998. iur. with his dissertation The responsible actuary in life insurance . In 1999 he passed the second state examination in law and in 2005 wrote his habilitation on legal issues relating to Internet competition.
