Christoph Habermann

Christoph Habermann (born March 2, 1953 in Bad Mergentheim ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2004 to 2007 he was State Secretary in the State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Labor of the Free State of Saxony and from 2007 to 2011 State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Family and Women of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Life

After graduating from the Deutschorden-Gymnasium in Bad Mergentheim, Habermann studied sociology and political science at the University of Konstanz from 1972–1978 , where he graduated in 1979 as a Magister Artium .

From November 1979 to December 1982 he worked in the planning department of the Federal Chancellery in Bonn. In January 1983 he switched to the “Government Planning” department of the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia . From July 1986 Habermann became head of department, later group leader and from 1999 head of department.

In July 1999 he became head of the domestic department and deputy head of the Federal President's Office in Berlin. In November 2004 he moved to Dresden, where he became State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Labor ( Milbradt II cabinet ).

From August 1, 2007 to May 18, 2011, Christoph Habermann was State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Family and Women in Mainz , in the Beck IV cabinet .
