Christoph Heinrich Otto Girgensohn

Christoph Heinrich Otto Girgensohn (born November 12, 1796 in Past. Neu-Pebalg ( Livonia ), † November 23, 1869 in Reval ) was a German-Baltic Protestant theologian .

Girgensohn was provost of Walkschen Sprengels and spiritual assessor of the Livonian Evangelical Lutheran Provincial Consistory.

He worked on the creation of the new German hymnbook as well as the revived Latvian hymnbook.
