Christoph Heinrich von Ketteler zu Harkotten (born June 1, 1692 , † February 16, 1734 in Freiburg ) was the Imperial Colonel Field Sergeant and Regimental Commander.

Life

Origin and family

Christoph Heinrich von Ketteler zu Harkotten grew up as the son of  Goswin Kaspar von Ketteler zu Harkotten and his wife Anna Dorothea von Korff zu Harkotten (1659–1700) together with his sister Juliane Helene Christine (∞ Franz Hermann von Boeselager) and his brothers Alexander Anton ( 1689–1748, prince-bishop chamberlain) and Friedrich Christian (1691–1748, privy councilor and cathedral cantor) in the ancient  Westphalian noble family von Ketteler .

Act

Christoph Heinrich first went to the military in Hildesheim before joining the imperial army in 1714 . Here he became a sergeant major in November 1723. He commanded the Deutschmeister regiment and, as sergeant-general, held a high position in the imperial army. With his promotion to Lieutenant Field Marshal , he reached the second highest military rank. Most recently, Christoph Heinrich was deployed as commandant in Breisach.
