Christoph Hoppe

Christoph Hoppe is a German manager in the aviation and defense industry . He has been CEO at Thales Germany since September 2015 .

Life

Hoppe studied international relations at Georgetown University in Washington, DC and completed his studies with a doctorate. He began his professional career in 1989 at the Science and Politics Foundation. In 1992 he became a consultant in the planning group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group, and in 1995 in the Federal Chancellery in Bonn. In 1995 he switched to industry and became head of European marketing at Daimler Benz Aerospace (Dasa). From 2002 to 2006 he was in charge of the development and series production of Airbus cabin equipment and was also managing director of the subsidiary Aircabin in Laupheim. From 2006 to 2009 he worked as a lobbyist in Berlin and represented the interests of the EADS group vis-à-vis the federal government and the Bundestag as a board representative . From 2009 to 2013 he was HR manager at Cassidian and Labor Director of EADS Germany, from September 2013 to 2015 CEO of the aerospace supplier Premium Aerotec. In 2015 he moved to Thales Germany in the same position.

Hoppe is a member of the Presidium of the German Railway Industry Association (VDB) .
