Christoph Irion

Christoph Irion (born February 29, 1964 ) is a German journalist .

Life

Irion studied political science at the University of Hamburg and then graduated from the Axel Springer School of Journalism . He then worked as a television journalist for Sat.1 . In 1996 he became the political editor of the Berlin newspaper “BZ”, then from 1999 to 2002 he was the chief political editor of the Berliner Morgenpost and, from 2001, also of the daily newspaper Die Welt . In 2002 he switched to the Reutlinger General-Anzeiger as head of politics . From 2005 to 2013 he was co-editor-in-chief of this newspaper with Hartmut Troebs. Since 2014 he has been the managing director of the Christian Media Association KEP . Irion is married and has two children.
