Christoph Schuler (* 1980 in Emskirchen ) is a German film and advertising director and film producer.

Life

Christoph Schuler grew up near Nuremberg . In 2003 he began studying media design with a focus on film, photography and VFX animation at the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg-Simon-Ohm, where he attracted attention with his first music videos and commercials. After graduating from the Technical University of Nuremberg, he began studying feature film directing at the University of Television and Film Munich in 2008 .

In 2012, he also began postgraduate studies in advertising under Christian Köster . With his short films and commercials, he took part in numerous international and national festivals such as the Hofer Filmtage , Max Ophüls Prize , Palm Springs International Festival of Shorts and Hamptons International Film Festival.

In 2014 he was nominated for his spot Give Love a Chance at the First Steps Award in the category Best Commercial and received the Spotligh Award (Audience / Silver).

Together with Lucia Scharbatke , he leads the film production Nektar und Kometen.

Christoph Schuler lives in Berlin and Munich.
