Christoph Thomann (* 1950 in Bern ) is a Swiss psychologist who founded the mediation method clarification aid in the 1980s .

He studied psychology at the University of Freiburg in Freiburg im Üechtland and later did his doctorate at the University of Hamburg under Friedemann Schulz von Thun . Building on this, he expanded his knowledge through training in communication psychology , topic-centered interaction , gestalt therapy and psycholysis .

He has been a conflict moderator for 30 years, initially in his psychotherapeutic practice as a couples therapist , later as a moderator in companies. Over the years he developed his own method for moderation in difficult situations, which is called clarification aid, from various approaches. There are now several publications by him on this. The Riemann-Thomann model can also be traced back to him.

He is also a speaker at congresses, for example at the “Federal Mediation Congress” of the Federal Mediation Association . In addition, he regularly leads seminars that are held as part of further training to provide clarification assistance.
