Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz

Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz (born June 18, 1962 in Vienna ) is an Austrian dramaturge and musicologist.

Life

He completed his studies in musicology, political science and Romance studies in Vienna in 1989 as a Mag. Phil. from. Wagner-Trenkwitz was chief dramaturge at the Vienna State Opera . From 2003 he was a member of the management of the Volksoper Vienna ; since 2009 he has been chief dramaturge at the Volksoper Vienna. His great teacher was Marcel Prawy . Wagner-Trenkwitz became known to a wider public through appearances as a presenter on stage, on television (among other things as a TV commentator for the Vienna Opera Ball ) and on the radio. From October 2013 to summer 2016, Wagner-Trenkwitz was director of the Haag theater summer , followed by Christian Dolezal .

As editor he published texts by Fritz Löhner-Beda under the title How to meet in the Ampezzo Valley (2005) He wrote articles in the yearbooks of the Vienna State Opera (1990-1994), Marcel Prawy tells from his life (1996) and The Volksoper - The Vienna Music Theater (1997).
