Christoph Wiederkehr (born April 12, 1990 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician ( NEOS ). Wiederkehr has been a member of the Vienna City Council and State Parliament since November 2015 . On July 5, 2018 he was presented as the successor to Beate Meinl-Reisinger as NEOS Vienna club boss, he took over the club chairmanship in the town hall on September 27, 2018 and is the top candidate for the state and municipal council elections in Vienna in 2020 .

Life

Christoph Wiederkehr passed the Matura at the College Borromaeum Salzburg in 2009 . He then went to Vienna , where he began studying political science at the University of Vienna . He attended the University of Sussex as well as the Australian National University in the form of semesters abroad . In Australia he was an intern at the Austrian Embassy in Canberra from October to December 2012 . In 2013 he obtained his bachelor's degree and later a Master of Arts .

Wiederkehr has been a member of the Constitutional Court since 2013 .

His political home was returned to the Liberals. From September 2013 to June 2015 he was chairman of the NEOS student association. Since November 2015 he has been chairman of the youth organization JUNOS .

Since November 2015, Wiederkehr has been one of five NEOS MPs to the Vienna State Parliament, and since September 27, 2018 he has been the club chairman as the successor to Beate Meinl-Reisinger . In December 2018 he was elected NEOS country spokesman.
