Christoph Wietfeldt (born April 19, 1978 in Stralsund as Christoph Paepke) is a former German ice hockey player who was active in the German ice hockey league during his career, among others for the Kölner Haie and the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg .

Career

Wietfeldt began his career in the offspring of the Eisbären Berlin, from 1997 he was active with the Kölner Haien with the junior team in the junior Bundesliga. He made his first appearances in the professional team during the 1998/99 season . The then Haie trainer Timo Lahtinen used him 23 times in the German Ice Hockey League. In the following season, the German was a member of the Haie's regular squad and was able to score eight points in 49 league games. After another season in Cologne , he left the club in the summer of 2001 and moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for the Lausitzer Füchsen . The then 24-year-old reached the play-off quarter-finals with the Foxes, where he and his team lost 3-0 to ERC Ingolstadt .

For the 2002/03 season , the offensive player signed a contract with the then second division team Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg, with whom he won the championship of the 2nd Bundesliga in 2004 and 2007 and was promoted to the German Ice Hockey League. Wietfeldt, who ended his career at the end of the 2007/08 season at the age of 30, is the player with the second most games with 347 league games and with 433 penalty minutes the player with the third most penalty minutes in the history of the Wolfsburg club.
