Christoph Wilhelm Lüdeke

Christoph Wilhelm Lüdeke (born March 3, 1737 in Schönberg , Altmark , † June 21, 1805 in Stockholm ) was a German Lutheran theologian.

Life

After studying at the University of Halle , Lüdeke was a Protestant preacher in Smyrna from 1759 to 1768 and then worked at St. Katharinen in Magdeburg . On December 20, 1772 he was appointed (after drawing lots) to the main pastor (first preacher) of the German St. Gertrud Congregation in Stockholm and worked there until his death. In 1775 he was at the University of Tuebingen for Dr. theol. PhD. His son Johan Anton August Lüdeke also became senior pastor of the St. Gertrud congregation in 1817.
