List of cultural assets in Melchnau

The list of cultural assets in Melchnau contains all objects in the municipality of Melchnau in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in category A and B are fully included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

The stately half-timbered building , built in 1814/15 on a bricked ground floor and high basement plinth, has arched wall openings and window sills in the late Baroque tradition. The façade with the round is decorated with elegant paintings. Arbors with balusters stretch along both sides of the eaves .

Representative plastered building built in 1756 with rich sandstone structures under a mansard roof , the three-axis gable facade of which is closed off by a pressed round . The house, named after the chronicler Jakob Käser, has two symmetrical arched entrances, which are connected to the windows on the upper floor by curved glare fields.

Ruins of a hilltop castle on the Schlossberg. The family castle of the Barons von Melchnau, built in the 12th century, was left to decay from the 15th century. The preserved remains of the curtain wall and the keep as well as the ruins of the castle chapel, which is protected by a modern pavilion, are visible.

The church building, built in 1709 instead of a previous building from the early 16th century, consists of a sermon hall closed on three sides under a gable roof with a roof turret near the gable. The interior is late Gothic and early Baroque ; it also includes a coat of arms cycle. Next to it are the beneficiary, which was reconstructed after a fire in 1954, as well as the rectory built between 1749 and 1751 , a stately solid building with a hip roof and stepped gable .

The farmhouse , built in 1818, is a demanding timber frame construction under a three-quarter hip roof . The instrumentation of the living area has been preserved almost originally. In the west, wide, magnificent main facade with a profiled window sill over half-timbered parapet and with arbors .
