Christoph Zülch

Christoph Zülch (born March 5, 1935 in Hamburg ) is a German lawyer and was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 1978 to 2000 .

Life

Christoph Zülch received his doctorate from the University of Hamburg in 1964 and completed his legal training in 1966. He then worked as a lawyer assessor and attorney in Bremen for one year . In 1967 he began his judicial career by joining the judicial service of the state of Bremen. In 1969 he was appointed regional judge at the Bremen Regional Court. In July 1970 he was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant and, while he was still active there, was appointed judge at the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court in April 1973 . The secondment to the Federal Court of Justice ended in June 1973. In September 1978 he became a judge at the Federal Court of Justice.

Zülch first belonged to the First Civil Division , which deals with competition law is concerned, and with the civil construction law dealing VII. Civil Senate of. From 1979 to 1983 he was only a member of the First Senate and was presidential judge in the administration of the court. In 1983 he moved to the 8th Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice , which is responsible for disputes in the legal areas of sales law , exchange , housing tenancy law , leasing law and the law of commercial agents . He was then a member of the VIII Senate until he retired in 2000. In 1992 he became the deputy chairman of the 8th Civil Senate and had been a member of the Grand Senate for Civil Matters since October 1997 . On March 31, 2000, he retired.
