Christoph von Kaufmann
Christoph Ludwig (Louis) Dietrich von Kaufmann (born May 15, 1788 in Hanover , † January 11, 1867 in Hameln ) was a German administrative lawyer .
Life
Christoph von Kaufmann was the son of the Hanoverian court councilor Johann Friedrich von Kaufmann (1757–1833), who was raised to imperial nobility in 1784 , and his wife Sophie Catharine Amalie, née. Slam. He attended the Lyceum in Hanover and in 1805 Michaelis began studying law at the University of Göttingen . He was a member of the Landsmannschaft Hannovera, which existed secretly before January 18, 1809, and on January 18, 1809 co-founder of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen . Kaufmann entered the administrative service of the Kingdom of Westphalia and became an auditor in Hanover on September 28, 1809. On November 6, 1810, he was appointed Royal Western Assessor at the criminal court in Hanover. In October 1813 he became a royal Hanover official auditor and on October 22, 1816 an official assessor in Hanover. Kaufmann was in 1817 in the office of Grohnde and in 1822 in the office of Aerzen . On March 9, 1823 became second and on April 11, 1836 first official ( bailiff ) in the Hameln office .
Kaufmann married on October 1, 1825 Johanna geb. Borchers († April 17, 1842) from Bremen . The two had two sons and a daughter.
His younger brothers were August von Kaufmann , Oberamtmann in the Medingen office , Georg Christian Hermann (1794–1869), the secret medical councilor and personal physician to the Queen in Hanover, and Adolf Georg Otto von Kaufmann († 1848) also an administrative lawyer.
