The Grohnde office was a historical administrative area of ​​the Principality of Calenberg and the Kingdom of Hanover with its seat in Grohnde .

history

The core of the administrative district was Grohnde Castle , first mentioned in 1395 , which had been in the possession of the Welfs since 1408/09 and was mostly pledged until the 17th century. In 1815 the Grohnde Office was merged with the Ohsen Office to form the Grohnde-Ohsen Office. In the course of the administrative reform of 1852 it was reduced in size and since then has existed again under the name Amt Grohnde . In 1852 the village of Tündern and in 1855 Hastenbeck were ceded to the Hameln Office . In 1859 the Grohnde Office was merged with the Hameln Office.
