Christoph von Schönberg

Christoph von Schönberg (* 1554 ; † October 4, 1608 in Dresden ) was a Saxon mining captain and captain of the offices of Wolkenstein, Lauenstein and Rauenstein as well as the manor owner of Neusorge.

Life

Christoph von Schönberg came from the Saxon noble family von Schönberg and was the son of Wolf von Schönberg (1518–1584).

Since the death of Lorenz von Schönberg in 1588, he was miner and governor of the Saxon offices of Wolkenstein, Lauenstein and Rauenstein. After his death, the funeral sermon given by Polycarp Leyser appeared in print.
