Life

Christopher Chandiramani was born the son of an Indian immigrant and a Lucerne woman. He grew up in Freiburg im Üechtland , where he completed primary school and the Kollegium St. Michael high school . He then studied economics , business administration and commercial law at the University of Bern . During his university days he already worked as a student trainee at the Zurich banking center and specialized in the analysis of Swiss stocks, including small caps.

At Credit Suisse Group (formerly Schweizerische Kreditanstalt / Volksbank) and later also at Bank Sarasin and other financial institutions, he worked for almost 30 years as a financial analyst, fund manager and consultant in share trading. After his dismissal from CS, he went to the labor court in Zurich and fought for severance payments for improper dismissal. The case caused quite a stir at the time because the independence of the analysts was called into question.

He gained journalistic experience at the magazines Cash and Swiss-Equity-Medien (Nebenwertejournal). Since April 2008, Christopher Chandiramani has been working for an asset management company in Zurich. He has also been active in politics since 2006, initially in the business audit committee of the city of Rapperswil-Jona and since spring 2008 as an SVP member in the St. Gallen Cantonal Council.

He was married until 1997 and has two sons.
