Christopher Edmondson

Christopher Paul Edmondson (born June 25, 1950 in Carlisle , England ) is an Anglican Bishop and Bishop of Bolton since 2008 .

life and career

Edmondson was taught at Saint John's College in Durham and was ordained a priest in 1974. He started out as a curate in the Kirkheaton Ward . From 1979 to 1986 he was pastor of Ovenden and was also advisor to the Bishop of Wakefield.

In 2002 Edmondson was named auxiliary bishop of the Bolton Diocese. Six years later, on April 25, 2008, he was ordained Bishop of Bolton.
