Chrystel Guillebeaud

Chrystel Guillebeaud (born July 26, 1971 in Paris ) is a French dancer , choreographer and Tai Chi teacher.

Life

She took singing and violin lessons, was at the Paris Opera in professional ballet ( modern dance , modern jazz , tango and Tai Chi) and is studied fine arts at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs .

From 1995 to 2000 she was a permanent member of the ensemble of the Wuppertal Dance Theater under the direction of Pina Bausch .

Then she founded the “Compagnie Double C” together with her partner, the dancer and choreographer Chun-Hsien Wu . Since then she has appeared both within the company and together with other dancers as well as solo internationally. She also teaches dance, choreography and tai chi.

Chrystel Guillebeaud currently lives in Wuppertal .

Awards

In 2005 she received the von der Heydt sponsorship award from the city of Wuppertal together with Chun-Hsien Wu .
