The Churen Himal is a 7371 meter (according to other sources 7385 m) high mountain in Nepal . It lies on the border of the Dolpa and Myagdi districts .

It is one of the highest mountains in the Dhaulagiri Himal , a mountain region of the Himalayas . The Churen Himal has three peaks (east, middle and west peaks), the heights of which are given in the literature as 7371 m each. The main summit is the western summit. From there a ridge leads west to Putha Hiunchuli (7246 m) 6.5 km away . About 900 m east of the west summit is the middle summit and another 1.3 km further east is the east summit of the Churen Himal. From there a ridge leads east to a mountain range with the peaks Dhaulagiri II - Dhaulagiri VI . On the southern flank of the Churen Himal is the Kaphe Glacier , which flows westward .

The first ascent of the central summit on October 24, 1970 by Masayoshi Fukui and Kozo Hasegawa and the western summit on October 28, 1970 by Kozo Hasegawa and Ang Norbu, was achieved by a Japanese expedition from the south side.
