Chuska Lake is a reservoir in the Navajo Nation Reservation , about three kilometers southwest of Tohatchi west of US Route 491 (also known as Devil's Highway , formerly US Route 666 ), in McKinley County in the US state of New Mexico .

It is fed by a tributary of the Red Willow Wash , which is part of the Colorado River river system . Its area is 33.56 hectares and the height above sea level is 1921 meters.

Resident fish species are catfish , perch and various types of trout , such as cutthroat trout ( Oncorhynchus clarkii ) and rainbow trout .
