construction

The CH-8 builds on the CH-7B and CH-7T and is a two-seater microlight helicopter with side-by-side seats and a closed cabin. The cabin is entered through side doors and, like the rotor, is made of composite materials. As with the other Cicaré helicopters, the frame is welded from steel tubes. The helicopter is powered by a Rotax 917 -Ti four-cylinder, four-stroke boxer engine with 95 kW. The helicopter is only offered as a kit. As an experiment, a Labala GFL 2000 propeller turbine was installed in a CH-8 in 2001 . This helicopter is sometimes referred to as the Cicaré CH-2002 .
