The Cinder Hill ( German slag hill ) is a 305 m high and jagged volcanic cone on the Antarctic Ross Island . It consists of layers of red basalt slag interspersed with olivine nodules and lies between the Harrison Stream and the Wilson Stream on the ice-free lower western slopes of Mount Bird .
It was mapped and named descriptively as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1958–1959).
