The Circuit du Midi (also Critérium du Midi ) was a cycling race that was held between 1913 and 1945 in the south of France.

The race was held parallel to the Tour de France , which is why those good drivers who did not start in the tour were preferred. In one year the tracks of the two races crossed.

The first two events were reserved for drivers without a team, in 1921 for the juniors. The editions of 1931, 1932, 1938 and 1945 took place as one-day races , the rest as stage races .

The race is considered the forerunner of the Grand Prix Midi Libre , which was held from 1949 to 2002.
