Claire Brennan-Baker
Claire Brennan Baker , also Claire Baker , (* 4. March 1971 in Dunfermline as Claire Brennan ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labor Party .
Life
Baker grew up in Kelty and attended Edinburgh University . She then did a PhD in English Literature from the University of Glasgow . She is married to the Labor politician Richard Baker , who holds a seat in Parliament in the electoral region of North East Scotland .
Political career
Brennan-Baker ran for the first time in the Scottish Parliamentary Elections in 2007 on the regional list of the Mid Scotland and Fife region in national elections and gained a seat in the Scottish Parliament . In the 2011 general election , Brennan-Baker ran for the constituency of Mid Fife and Glenrothes , but was defeated by the SNP candidate , Tricia Marwick . Due to her position on the regional list, she will represent the electoral region of Mid Scotland and Fife for another term.
