Claire Orcel (born December 2, 1997 in Uccle / Ukkel ) is a Belgian - French high jumper who competes internationally for Belgium.

Athletic career

Claire Orcel had her first international appearance at the 2015 European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna , where she finished seventh with a skipped 1.79 m. The following year she reached 13th place at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 1.79 m and in 2017 she won the silver medal behind Lissa Labiche from Seychelles at the Francophonie Games in Abidjan with a height of 1.88 m . In 2018 she took part in the European Championships in Berlin for the first time, but retired there with 1.81 m in the qualification, as well as at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow the following year with 1.85 m. Then, it was at the U23 European Championships in Gavle with skipped 1.89 meters Fourth and peaked at the World Championships in Doha , the final in which they m with 1.89 came in eleventh.

In 2014 and 2015, as well as in 2018 and 2019, Orcel was the Belgian outdoor champion and in 2019 and 2020 also indoor. In addition, she became French champion in 2019 .
