Claire Tyler, Baroness Tyler of Enfield (born June 4, 1957 ) is a British civil servant and politician of the Liberal Democrats and has been a member of the House of Lords since 2011 .

Life

After attending the Latymmer Grammar School , Claire Tyler studied law and political science at the University of Southampton and graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Laws & Politics). Then she was employee of the Greater London Council and the Board of Education of Inner London ( Inner London Education Authority operates). In the following period she took on numerous functions until 1988 and also completed a degree in management at the South Bank Polytechnic .

In 1988 she moved to the Ministry of Employment, where she worked until 1992 with strategy and policy advice. She then headed the Department of Child Protection in the Ministry of Education and Skills between 1992 and 1997, before heading a Liaison Unit from 1998 to July 2000 and then Deputy Director General of the National Connexions Unit from July 2000 to April 2002 .

She then moved to the office of the Deputy Prime Minister in April 2002, where she was head of the Social Exclusion Task Force (SETF) responsible for measures against social exclusion until June 2006 .

In August 2007 Claire Tyler Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Relate , a relief organization , counseling for couples, families, young people and individuals, but also sexual therapy , mediation offers and training courses.

On 28 January 2011 she was a Letters Patent as Life Peeress titled Baroness Tyler of Enfield , of Enfield in the London Borough of Enfield in the peerage collected and subsequently received 1 February 2011 their introduction ( Introduction ) as Member of the House of Lords .
